Chiropractic Society of Rhode Island to have booth at Ronald McDonald House of Providence Women's Classic Road Race on Oct 11
The Chiropractic Society of Rhode Island will host an informational booth at the Ronald McDonald House of Providence Women's Classic.
The Chiropractic Society of Rhode Island (CSRI) will host an informational booth at the Ronald McDonald House of Providence Women’s Classic Road Race on October 11. The booth will be situated at Brown University Stadium, the race’s starting point, and manned from 8 am to 12 noon prior to, during, and after the walk/run. CSRI doctors will be on hand to provide information about the overall benefits of chiropractic.
“The benefits of chiropractic go far beyond the spine. It really does dramatically impact your overall wellness,” said Dr. Aaron Salinger, treasurer of CSRI and chiropractic practitioner in Providence. “With this booth, we’re hoping to share that message with runners and their families and friends as well as support a very worthy cause like the Ronald McDonald House.”
Salinger adds, “There’s a common misperception that running is one of the worst things you can do for your back. Truth be told, our bodies can handle the shock of running if perfectly aligned. Yet through the sedentary nature of many occupations, poor posture and other factors, few people do have perfect alignment. Though it may be a little self-serving, starting your running program off with a visit to your local chiropractor can be a wise preventative move.”
