Coronavirus: East Providence Police Protocol During Health Crisis

East Providence police is looking to remind residents of some new protocols in response to the coronavirus health emergency.

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — East Providence police are looking to remind residents that access to the police station is restricted with the exception of emergency services due to the coronavirus health crisis. Officers can be contacted by phone for most accident reports and other business.

To reach East Providence police Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. call 401-435-7600 ext. 20080. At all other times, call 401-435-7600 ext. 20200. For accident reports or other records inquiries call 401-435-7600 ext. 20080.

Property release questions should be geared to the BCI Unit at 401-435-7600 ext. 20160 (East Providence police said they are aware of the type on the sign). Questions about VIN checks so go to www.dmv.ri.gov.
