E.P. Man, 17, Nabbed After Chase
The man allegedly threatened a Sears employee with a knife during a shoplifting attempt before leaving Swansea Mall and heading back to his E.P. home.

An East Providence man, 27, faces a fugitive from justice charge after he allegedly led several police departments on a chase and search from Swansea through Seekonk, MA, and into East Providence early Monday evening, Feb. 18.
Kyle P. Cunningham, of 50 Lawrence Drive, was stopped on Warren Avenue near Sixth Street in East Providence around 6:30 p.m. after Seekonk police trailed him from the Swansea Mall.
He allegedly threatened a Sears department store employee with a knife while shoplifting, according to the East Providence arrest report.

Cunningham reportedly left the Sears store and drove west on Route 195 with Swansea and Seekonk on the lookout for his vehicle. Cunningham reportedly left Interstate 195 at exit 6 and made his way to Grove and Purchase streets with a Seekonk police car behind him.
An East Providence patrol officer joined the search for him on Freeborn Street. Cunningham reportedly turned onto Warren Avenue, where another East Providence patrol car joined the search. His vehicle was pulled over near Sixth Street.

Cunningham was held by East Providence police and turned over to a Swansea patrol officer to be charged there. The arrest report did not indicate what Cunningham allegedly stole or attempted to steal from the Sears store.
