East Providence High School Sets New Rules For Student Pickup

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — School officials made changes to student pickup and drop off rules to address traffic issues at East Providence High School.

Diana Clarkin, the school director of operations, in a letter to parents, said the biggest issue has been with traffic patterns during pickup and drop off. She said the following changes were made to address the problem:

• Have your child ride the bus if they are eligible. If they aren't going to ride the bus, let school officials know, so another student can take their unused spot.
• Do not drop students off on Pawtucket Avenue. Use only South Driveway. This is the driveway on the right side when facing the building.
• Complete an appeal for if you'd like to get school transportation for your student, and they're currently ineligible.
