East Providence High School Sets New Rules For Student Pickup
The new rules for parents dropping off and picking up their kids are to address issues with traffic patterns at East Providence High School.
EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — School officials made changes to student pickup and drop off rules to address traffic issues at East Providence High School.
Diana Clarkin, the school director of operations, in a letter to parents, said the biggest issue has been with traffic patterns during pickup and drop off. She said the following changes were made to address the problem:
- Have your child ride the bus if they are eligible. If they aren't going to ride the bus, let school officials know, so another student can take their unused spot.
- Do not drop students off on Pawtucket Avenue. Use only South Driveway. This is the driveway on the right side when facing the building.
- Complete an appeal for if you'd like to get school transportation for your student, and they're currently ineligible.
Any questions should be directed to the school's transportation department at 401-383-5797.
