VIDEO: Garage Fire Erupts on North County Street

crews responded to a severe garage fire at 8 North County Street late Monday afternoon. Smoke was seen billowing from blocks away. Members of the department directed Route 44 traffic away from the scene as firefighters doused the structure.

According to Captain Oscar Elmasian, the spark started while the resident was working on his vehicle. Gasoline dripped onto a work light, creating a spark. The man's hand was injured; he denied medical treatment.

Damage was done to the two adjacent houses.
