HASBRO EMPLOYEES BRIGHTEN THE HOLIDAYS FOR RHODE ISLAND CHILDREN ON THIRD GLOBAL DAY OF JOY
Team Hasbro "elves" volunteer at organizations statewide, including all Providence, Pawtucket and Central Falls public elementary schools
On December 15, more than 1,200 Rhode Island based Hasbro, Inc. employees brightened the holidays for local children across the state during the company’s third Global Day of Joy. Service projects benefitting more than 70 nonprofit organizations and schools statewide occurred both on location at Hasbro offices and in the community. Hasbro’s volunteer “elves” delivered toys to all of the children in Pawtucket, Providence and Central Falls public elementary schools, while different projects such as mural painting and play space renovations were held throughout the day, including a Hasbro Game Day with the young children at the Smith Hill Early Childhood Learning Center.
The Global Day of Joy is a day when Hasbro, Inc. empowers all of its 5,000 employees in 40 countries around the world to combine their philanthropic spirit on a single day and engage in community service projects that bring joy to children in need this holiday season. The “Team Hasbro” volunteer program gives employees the benefit of four hours of paid time off each month to volunteer with child-focused programs. Hasbro’s philanthropic mission is to empower childhood by bringing hope, play and service into the lives of millions of children in need around the world.
