Legislative Candidates Debate Tonight

Still don't know who you'll vote for in the Democratic primaries? Candidates for Senate District 14 and for Representative Districts 63 and 65 will debate at Weaver Library tonight.

The forum (hosted by The Rhode Island League of Women Voters) starts at 6 p.m. But at 5:30 p.m., audience members are welcome to submit questions written on index cards to be answered by any candidate. Organizers will screen all questions for brevity, non-redundancy, and issue-orientation.

Debate schedule:

• 5:30 p.m. Candidates’ Meet and Greet in Lobby. Gathering of audience questions.
• 5:50 p.m. Candidates’ briefing at front of auditorium.
• 6 p.m. Welcome and Pledge of Allegiance.
• 6:05 p.m. RI SENATE #14: Daniel DaPonte vs. Roberto DaSilva
• 6:25 p.m. RI REPRESENTATIVE #63: Robert D. Britto, Katherine S. Kazarian, Samuel D. Lovett, Charles S. Tsonos
• 7:05 p.m. RI REPRESENTATIVE #65: Gregg Amore vs. Timothy J. Chapman  

Candidates will also be asked rounds of questions ending with a wildcard session.
