Man Allegedly Beats Up Girlfriend

An East Providence man faces a domestic felony assault charge.

An East Providence man, 31, faces a domestic assault charge after allegedly beating up his girlfriend early Tuesday morning, Oct. 9.

Daniel D. Jordan, of 300 Waterman Ave., was arrested about 5 am after his girlfriend contacted East Providence police, who responded to her call from Dunkin’ Donuts on Warren Avenue.

Jordan was charged with domestic felony assault and larceny of a cell phone. He reportedly threw her to the floor during an altercation, which resulted in bruises to her arm and back and a swollen lip.

Jordan was arraigned at the East Providence Police Station and released with a no-contact order.
