Man Charged With Hit and Run
Antonia DaSilva allegedly struck a pedestrian near Six Corners in East Providence and left the scene; he turned himself in on Saturday.

An East Providence man, 22, was arrested on Saturday. Dec. 8, for leaving the scene of an accident that seriously injured a man, 51, according to the Providence Journal.
Antonio DaSilva, of Waterman Avenue, has been charged with hitting the pedestrian as he crossed Taunton Avenue just after midnight Friday in the area of Six Corners near Bovi's Tavern, according to East Providence police.

The man has multiple broken bones and serious head injuries, East Providence police said in a press release. He was taken to Rhode Island Hospital.
DaSilva turned himself in to police at 12:45 p.m., according to the police department. His vehicle was seized.
