Man Who 'Stormed' Into House Charged

East Providence man, 30, faces multiple charges after he invaded an occupied home last Saturday night, Oct. 27, and fought with the occupants.

An East Providence man, 30, faces multiple charges after he reportedly “stormed into” a house on Forbes Street on Saturday evening, Oct. 27.

John R. Fiore, of 149 Circuit Drive, was charged by East Providence police with two counts of simple assault, disorderly conduct, trespassing, and breaking and entering into a home with the residents present.

The incident occurred at around 8:05 pm while the homeowners were entertaining guests, police said.

The East Providence police report indicates that Fiore burst into the house and made threatening comments to the man of the house, whom he apparently knew. He allegedly struck or pushed both the husband and wife while the husband grappled with Fiore to get him out of the house.

Fiore was being restrained by the homeowner during the struggle when patrol officers arrived, according to the police report.

Fiore was immediately taken to the floor and handcuffed by the police officers. There was no indication that alcohol was involved in Fiore’s behavior.

Fiore was taken to the police station, where he charged and given a date to appear in District Court.
