• East Providence looking to pinpoint source of rat problem (turnto10.com) — East Providence officials are investigating a spike in rat sightings, asking residents to report repeated activity so they can pinpoint problem areas and potential food sources. The mayor says inspectors and pest control companies are involved, with construction, chicken coops, and backyard food waste all under scrutiny. Residents can request help and upload photos through the city's online Request for Service portal. 
• Portsmouth High School ranks among R.I.'s best (eastbayri.com) — Rhode Island's latest high school rankings put Portsmouth High among the state's top performers, with Classical, Barrington, and East Greenwich also near the top. East Providence High School appears lower on the list at No. 35 statewide, giving local families a snapshot of how their school compares.
