Police Investigating Suspicious Package

East Providence police, a bomb squad, and hazmat crews are investigating a suspicious package that was found outside an East Providence business Monday evening, according to WPRI-TV.

The package was found near the Citizens Bank Mortgage Office on Tripps Lane just off the Wampanoag Trail.

Police say they were called to the building around 5 p.m. The package is described as very small, but it reportedly contains a powder that concerned employees. 

Investigators were still trying to determine what is in the package late Monday night, and if it is potentially harmful, according to WPRI-TV.
