Police Log: Drunk Driving, Drug Possession Ring in New Year's

An arrest does not necessarily indicate a conviction.

The  provided the following reports:

  • Tiffany Harrison, 25, of Providence, was arrested under Sixth Division District Court and Superior Court bench warrants at approximately 10:38 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 20, after a caller reported shoplifting at the Dollar Store.
  • Michael Felici, 42, of Cranston, was charged with shoplifting at approximately 2:12 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 23, after police responded to a call reporting shoplifting at the Stop & Shop.
  • Eric Butler, 23, of Providence, was charged with suppressed disturbance at approximately 7:16 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 24, after police responded to the Harris Heath Center.
  • Rui Dias, 36, of 108 Warren Ave., in East Providence, was charged with domestic simple assault and assault with a dangerous weapon in a home, at approximately 12:06 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 25.
  • Mario Ramos, 51, of Pawtucket, was charged with drunk driving at approximately 5:27 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 26.
  • Kelly Fisher, 21, of 23 Skycrest Ave., in East Providence, was arrested under a bench warrant at approximately 9:53 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 26.
  • Brandon Alves, 30, of Marion, MA, was charged with driving under a suspended license, obstructing an officer in the line of duty, possession marijuana and controlled substances at approximately 9:48 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 29, after a police officer took notice of a car with tinted windows that abruptly pulled over at a Sunoco. After Alves produced a non-registered license, the officer searched the car and reportedly found $4,000 in cash and 10 grams of marijuana.
  • Tammy Mercer, 50, of Woonsocket, was charged with willful trespassing and shoplifting after officers responded to the Burlington Coat Factory at approximately 12:30 on Thursday, Dec. 29. 
  • Matthew Watkinson, 28, of West Haven, CT, was arrested under a Superior Court bench warrant at approximately 1:32 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 30.
  • Joaquim Depina, 61, of 49 George St., in East Providence, was charged with drunk driving and refusing to submit to a chemical test at approximately 5:29 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 30. 
  • Marcia Vieira, 24, of Boston, was charged with disorderly conduct and obstructing an officer in the line of duty at approximately 4 a.m. on Jan. 1, after police responded to reports of a noisy group.
  • John Cabral, 24, of 156 Wilmarth Ave., in East Providence, was charged with disorderly conduct at approximately 1:03 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 2.
