Police Log: Sunset Avenue Man Charged 3 Times in 1 Week

The provided the following reports:

  • Anthony Palmero, 29, of 1 Sunset Ave., in East Providence, was charged with driving with a suspension of license, using a weapon other than a firearm and operating an unregistered vehicle after a caller reported a fight at Irving Gas Station on Wampanoag Trail, at approximately 7 a.m. on Sunday, May 27. A vehicle allegedly tried to run over a woman, according to the log. He was also charged with domestic disorderly conduct and vandalism, malicious injury to property after police reponded to 747 Bullocks Point Ave., at approximately 3:42 a.m. on Sunday, June 3. He allegedly violated a no contact order the following day.
  • Laura Barboza, 47, of Broad Street in Providence, was charged with felony assault with a dangerous weapon, larceny under $500, conspiracy, vandalism and malicious injury to property after police responded to Gabriel's Sunoco on Taunton at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 27. 
  • Daniel Simas, 67, of 20 Marsh St., in East Providence, was charged with domestic assault at approximately 4:09 p.m. on Saturday, June 2. 
  • Jason Shearman, 32, of 16 Lincoln Ave., in East Providence, was charged with domestic disorderly conduct and domestic vandalism on 6:18 p.m. on Sunday, June 3.
  • Derek Moniz, 36, of 3131 Pawtucket Ave. in East Providence, was charged with receiving stolen goods at approximately 4:11 a.m. on Monday, June 4.
