Prof. Angelo “Papa Angelo” Marinosci, Jr. at Theatre 82.

Warren resident and retired college professor, Angelo Marinosci,Jr. AKA: "Papa Angelo", singer-songwriter, will give a talk-performance as a mentor: at Theatre 82, at 82 Rolfe Street, Cranston RI 02910 on Saturday 15 April 2017, starting at 12 noon for the Rising Musical Organization which offers Youth Music Workshops. Theatre 82; The Artists Exchange is an extension of Characters Cafe.

Marinosci is a native of Johnston, RI, and his activities in music and the fine arts span 5 decades and he has performed as far away as Japan and Europe, and regionally and locally over the years. He particularly likes small venues but does also participate in larger presentations of his music. In 2012 he helped Phil “PUD” Kaplan organize a Super-jam in Washington Square Park, Greenich Village, NYC for more than 400 musicians from the FANDALISM music site to converge on the Village, meet up and make music and there is another similar set of concerts being organized for this summer.

His brand of Americana-folk-blues is one of the topics he will discuss at Theatre 82 along with an inside peek as to how he hones his own songs. He has given similar lectures at the RISD Museum on related topics and performed at a wide variety of venues from the smallest coffee houses, Church Street Coffee House to concerts halls, such as the Narrows Center for the Arts and Common Fence Point... he's played area festivals and other listening venues.
