Providence Man Wanted On Larceny Charge Apprehended: Cops

The Providence man was also wanted on charges of obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct, police said.

PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence man wanted on a larceny charge was captured, police said.

Tomas Reyes Torres, 57, was also wanted on charges of obstructing an officer in the execution of duty and disorderly conduct, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

Reyes Torres was arrested shortly after 3 p.m. Thursday by officers with the Smithfield Police Department, the release said.

Reyes Torres was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned and released with a Sixth Division District Court date, according to police.
