Renaissance Hotel & Spa at Patriot Place to Host 'Day of Discovery' Bartender Mixology Competition June 26

FOXBOROUGH, Mass.  – The Renaissance Hotel & Spa at Patriot Place will be hosting a friendly bartender mixology competition showcasing the talents of bartenders from various Patriot Place restaurants as part of the Renaissance Hotels’ third annual Global Day of Discovery on Thursday, June 26, beginning at 5 p.m. at the hotel’s outdoor terrace.

More than 150 Renaissance hotels around the world will celebrate its Day of Discovery by offering both hotel guests and the local community an opportunity to get out and discover something new. At Patriot Place, that discovery will be the talents and skills of bartenders from participating Patriot Place restaurants. Each bartender will be required to create two signature drinks during the competition, which runs from 5-6 p.m. One drink must be created using indigenous ingredients, Keel vodka and Ocean Spray cranberry juice and the other can be a “free form” drink that showcases the bartender’s style and expertise.

A panel of judges from Patriot Place, The Renaissance Hotel & Spa at Patriot Place and Ocean Spray will rate each drink and announce first, second and third place winners. The Renaissance’s Executive Chef, Jason Ward, will provide tailgating-inspired appetizers for guests to sample during the free event, which runs from 5-7 p.m. and is open to the public.

A DJ will provide entertainment as guests enjoy the thrill of competition and free samples (1 ounce serving size) of each drink. Guests will also have an opportunity to participate in raffles and win great prizes throughout the night.
