State Police Charge East Providence Resident With Counterfeiting
State Police said Dayana Benavides, 20, was charged with counterfeiting and forging of registration plates.

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI — State Police arrested an East Providence resident on an outstanding warrant on forgery and counterfeiting of registration plates on Sunday morning. Police said Dayana Benavides, 20, was then charged with an additional count of forgery and counterfeiting of registration plates.
State Police said Benavides was taken into custody about 7 a.m. on Sunday following a traffic stop on Route 95 in Warwick. Benavides was taken to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, arraigned and turned over to East Providence police.
