Thomas P. McBride, 58

He was a son of long-time Barrington residents and a Barrington HIgh School graduate.

Thomas P. McBride, of The Riverside House Apartments, 1061 Willett Ave., Riverside, East Providence, passed in his sleep last week. He was 58.

He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his surviving brothers, Francis M. McBride, and his wife, Patty, of Barrington, Robert J. McBride of Providence, Richard J. McBride and his wife, Myrna, of Bali, Indonesia, David J. McBride of Barrington and James McBride and his wife, Cathie, of Coventry, four nephews; Sean, Seth, James and Daniel and a niece; Anna Delia.

He was the second son of long-time Barrington residents and amateur golf champion Francis M. McBride and Ann McBride. An avid sports fan and fisherman, he was a graduate of both St. Luke’s School and Barrington High School. He was a union member both of the Teamsters and later the Painters Union.

After high school, he became a member of the Barnum and Bailey Circus touring the U.S., Canada and Mexico, later settling in San Francisco in the construction industry. After semi-retiring, he moved back to Rhode Island to be closer to his family and childhood home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Luke Church, Washington Road, Barrington on Friday, Dec. 14, 2012 at 10 am. Burial will follow in Forest Chapel Cemetery, Nayatt Road, Barrington.
