East Providence Police believe  was not a random act of violence, according to detectives.  Officers are investigating the motive that lead Roberto Escaler to shoot seven rounds into a home occupied by six people. Escaler was arraigned this morning at Sixth Division District Court. The judge set bail at $25,000 with surety.
