Event Details

Zoom

"A 385 Year Experiment to Erase A People," will explore how the law was historically used to disenfranchise the Narragansett Indian Tribe and how it can be used in the present to right inter-generational wrongs. Register for this even here

Taylor Dumpson, Esq., a lineal descendant of the Narragansett Indian Tribe, is an internationally recognized anti-hate advocate, attorney, and author. Dumpson's legal work has been published in the University of New Mexico's Tribal Law Journal (TLJ), the premier Indigenous law journal in the United States and one of the only journals in the world dedicated to Tribal Law matters. Leveraging a decade of experience, Dumpson uses her voice to educate others: as a member of the executive board for Native Green, an Indigenous-led non-profit organization dedicated to restoring the balance to Mother Earth; as a Commissioner on the Rhode Island Commission on Prejudice and Bias; and as Special Assistant Attorney General at the Rhode Island Attorney General's Office.
