Tom Menec: A Leader Who Will Put North Kingstown & Exeter First

As voters prepare to elect the next State Representative for District 31, I encourage every resident of North Kingstown and Exeter to take the time to research each candidate and make an informed decision based on character, experience, and commitment to serving our community.

Tom Menec is a husband, father, Coast Guard Chief Warrant Officer, and North Kingstown Police Officer. For more than 30 years, he has served both our nation and our town with integrity, leadership, and dedication. His record reflects a lifetime of public service, and I believe he is ready to bring that same commitment to the Rhode Island General Assembly.

This election presents an opportunity to invest in people who genuinely care about North Kingstown and Exeter. Rather than relying on career politicians, I believe we need representatives with real-world experience who understand the challenges facing families, taxpayers, and local businesses. We need leaders who will listen to all residents, regardless of political affiliation, and make decisions based on what is best for the people they represent—not what is best for a political party.

I also encourage voters to consider the role political endorsements play in local elections. In my view, endorsements should not replace independent research. Political organizations sometimes change their support from one election to the next, and those decisions are not always fully explained to the public. That is one reason I encourage residents to evaluate each candidate based on their own qualifications, record of service, and willingness to represent all constituents.

After reviewing the candidates seeking to represent District 31, I have concluded that Tom Menec is the best choice. I believe he will put the interests of North Kingstown and Exeter residents first, approach issues independently, and focus on practical solutions rather than partisan agendas.

On Primary Day, September 9, 2026, I hope voters will look beyond campaign endorsements, learn about each candidate's background and values, and cast their vote for the person they believe will best serve our community. For me, that person is Tom Menec.
