Exeter Man Arrested On Gun And Drug Charges: Cops
The Exeter man was arrested after state troopers searched his home, police said.
EXETER, RI β An Exeter man was arrested on gun and drug charges, police said.
Todd A. Byers, 53, was taken into custody shortly before 12:45 p.m. Monday on charges of possession of firearms by certain persons prohibited, manufacturing, delivering or possessing with intent to deliver fentanyl, possession of crack cocaine, and obstructing an officer in the execution of duty, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.
Byers was arrested after troopers went to his Mockingbird Drive residence "for a warrant check and a subsequent search warrant," the release said.

Byers was processed at the Hope Valley Barracks, arraigned by a justice of the peace and taken to the Adult Correctional Institutions Men's Intake, according to the release.
