• Glocester Fights State Dam-Plan Mandate on 13 Dams (upriseri.com) — Glocester's Town Council has formally pushed back on a state mandate requiring municipalities to fund and prepare emergency action plans for 13 privately owned high‑hazard dams in town, arguing the cost and liability unfairly fall on local taxpayers. At the same time, councilors authorized key department heads to work with DEM on the required plans and are weighing indemnifying a local engineer who volunteered to help finish them.
