Jamestown Bridge Bumps Move to Newport-Bound Side Tonight (thenewportbuzz.com) — Expect fresh bumps and slower speeds on the Jamestown-Verrazzano Bridge tonight as joint replacement work shifts to the eastbound, Newport-bound side starting at 7 p.m. Crews will work overnight Sunday through Thursday, with 25 mph limits in the work zone and raised steel plates covering the joints by day so both lanes can stay open.

Anglers are seeing strong action for tuna, fluke, and sea bass, plus a notable influx of bluefish off Jamestown and Point Judith, though shark predation is increasingly cutting into catches.
