• Jamestown Council Tables Fort Getty Storage Request (upriseri.com) — Jamestown's Town Council has tabled a Harbor Commission request to reserve parking and short-term boat storage space at Fort Getty for commercial fishermen and other tenants, while draft rules and restrictions are written. Harbor Commission members are split between frustration and optimism, but agree they need to get back on the council's agenda soon so any new winter storage option at the town-owned park can still move forward.
   

• Jamestown Planners Back Fire Substation Zoning Change (upriseri.com) — Jamestown's Planning Commission has endorsed a zoning change that would allow a fire or police substation in the R200 residential district by special use permit, opening options for a north-end facility closer to many volunteers and homes. The proposal, which now heads to the Town Council, includes detailed limits on scale, staffing, lighting and outdoor vehicle storage to fit into neighborhoods.
