Community Update

We were greeted by a man who said he was a district manager and had to work there that day because someone was I'll. He said we were lucky because he could give us a great price on a new bed. We had been to Cardis first which is right near this sleepy's store. His name began with an R and couldn't have been a worse person to deal with. We told him about the Simmons mattress that we saw at cardis and what the specifications were. He showed us their version which was a 1000 dollars more than the king size we were looking at. Don't worry he said we match prices!! What a difference to begin with. After that we knew this place was like a used car lot less the cars. After saying he would match the price we asked about delivery and taking our old set out and then the BS really started to fly from his mouth. They wanted 99 dollars to deliver it and 18.99 each piece they take out. But wait it gets worse, the bed frame which I thought was an item that came with a new 2500 dollar purchase was an extra 150 dollars. Cardis delivery and take away were free and the frame was free also. Then Mr. R let us know that we would have to buy a mattress pad for 219 dollars if we wanted the warranty. FYI the same mattress pad at cardis was 109 with three free replacements. So even after matching cardis price they were 509 dollars more with the ala carte items. He said sleepy's doesn't include these things because they want you to see what you are paying for. So unless I am an idiot that would mean they were 1500 hundred more than cardis from the get go. I guess they try to screw you first then they match a price if they have too. They would have gladly taken the full amount and shafted us if they wanted to. This guy was real sleazy and had no answer when we asked why his product was so much more for the same items. He just looked confused and bewildered that we left and went back to cardis. Sleepy's is one place we will never go again. One more thing we had our new bed by six pm from cardis and sleepy's did not even offer next day delivery to our area. Tim from cardis was wonderful and gave us a great deal without crazy pressure and three calls to the home office for permission to reduce fictitious prices. Sleepy's should be called Scamys the unprofessionals. This was a few months ago and we have since steered a friend of ours away from this horrible place. We should have just googled sleepy's and we never would have wasted our time.
It's amazing these people are still there.
