5 Things To Know Today: June 15

Activities at the library; summer activity sign-ups; business workshop; seeking Moms for a walking group; and today in history: How does it feel?

Mohr Activities: Today at Marian J. Mohr Library:

  • Game On! for middle and high schoolers from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
  • Readers' Lair covers The Declaration by Gemma Malley at 6:30 p.m. For students in grades 6 to 12.

It's Almost Here: You wouldn't think so with all of the cloudy 50-degree weather this week, but summer is just a few days away. Mohr Library and the Johnston Parks and Recreation Department are hosting registrations for their summer programs — so the kiddos can keep both their bodies and minds active. And don't forget — the new library is at the exit of the park.

Do Better Business: The Rhode Island Small Business Recovery Program hosts a workshop at 6:30 p.m. at 875 Centerville Road on "How To Start Or Run A More Profitable Small Business." The seminar is free — call (401) 946-1900 to reserve your spot.

No Moss On This One: It's a hit that has spanned many years and still resounds — on this date in 1965, Bob Dylan released "Like a Rolling Stone."
