Freakish Fun: Today at Mohr Library:
- After School Adventures at 4:30 p.m. for kids in kindergarten and up β wear your costume!
- Halloween globe art project at 6:30 p.m. for students in grades 6 to 12.
Set And Spike: The JHS girls' varsity volleyball squad has a 5:45 p.m. scheduled match in East Providence against Bay View this afternoon. Johnston (5-7 on the season) has just two games left in the season, including this one against division leader Bay View (11-0).
Get Your Kicks: It's been a tough year for the JHS boys' soccer squad, who have secured one win during the season so far. That win was at home, so maybe they'll find some inspiration for tonight's scheduled 6 p.m. home contest against Division III leader Exeter-West Greenwich (13-0).

Honor The Past: The Johnston Historical Society β which recently held an impressive β is schedued to host an Executive Board meeting tonight at 7 p.m. at the Elijah Angell House. Call ahead: (401) 231-3380 to confirm.
The Longest Yard: On this date in 1991, The University of Rhode Island played Maine to six overtimes in what was β to that point β the longest football game in NCAA history. The feat has since been outdone twice by 7-OT games.
