Amica Ironman Competition Impacts Local Roads
The July 10 race is expected to include Central Avenue, Killingly Street, and Pocasset Avenue.

The Rhode Island Department of Transportation announced that today's Amica Ironman 70.3 Rhode Island race will affect several roads in local communities including Johnston on July 10.
During the competition — which includes a run, bike race, and swim, the bike portion of the contest will go through Johnston on Central Avenue, Killingly Street, and Pocasset Avenue before continuing onto Magnolia Street in Providence.
Roads will be open during the bike race, from 6:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., but drivers should expect delays.

Also, in Lincoln, the exit from Rte. 146 NB to Twin River Rd./Lincoln Woods will be closed due to race, Sunday from 6 to 9 a.m. Detour using the exit for Rte. 123 (Breakneck Hill Rd.).
