Woonsocket man wanted on shoplifting charge nabbed: Cops

JOHNSTON, RI — A Woonsocket man wanted on a shoplifting charge was arrested, police said.

Arlindo Medeiros, 49, was pulled over on Atwood Avenue in Johnston and arrested shortly after 6 p.m. Thursday, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

Medeiros was wanted on a warrant ouot of the Woonsocket Police Department, according to the release.

Medeiros was processed at state police headquarters and "transported to the Woonsocket Police Department," the release said.
