Video: 'Night of the Rising Stars'
The North Central Chamber of Commerce held its annual dinner on Monday night at Crytal Lake Golf Club in Mapleville.
The Johnston-based marked 30 years since its founding at its Annual Dinner on May 21 in Mapleville.
More than 100 members attended the mini-expo and dinner, which featured an address by Jim Hummel, a longtime reporter in Rhode Island media and current owner of The Hummel Report.
Awards were presented to the Chamber's Ambassador of the Year, Community Service of the Year, Rising Star of the Year, and Small Business of the Year.

Two local students also received $500 scholarships from the local business organization, which covers Johnston, North Providence, Smithfield, Scituate, Foster, and Glocester.
