Bank Robber in Spiderman Mask Hits Johnston Citizens

JOHNSTON, RI—The suspect is a skinny white man, sources say.

Deputy Chief Daniel Parrillo said the robbery happened at 10:36 Friday morning.

"A thin white male wearing a tan jacket, black gloves, a black scarf covering his face and a red, white, and black beanie hat with a Spiderman logo entered the Stop and Shop at 11 Commerce Way," he said. "This business also includes a Citizens Bank where he passed a note to the teller demanding money and threatening he had a handgun. No weapon was shown and the party fled on foot in an unknown direction. An undetermined amount of money was taken."
