Ferri Middle School Track Team Claims Victory At Division And State Meets

"There aren't any cuts or try outs. The kids come on their own. All that is required are good grades and good behavior." - Coach Matt La Fazia

Coach Matt La Fazia is a friendly, familiar face around town. This young and energetic Assistant Director of Johnston Parks and Recreation is also the coach for the Johnston Middle School Track Team.

The track team is made possible through a collaborative effort between the Johnston Recreation After School Programs and Ferri Middle School. The great thing about this track team is that it is an inclusive sport — everyone can participate.
