Take Me Out To The Ball Game
It was heartwarming to watch the coaches patiently teach the beginner ball players how to hold the bat, to catch a ground ball, and run the bases!
I just finished reading JohnstonPatch's article and looking at the photographs of the players and coaches.
This was such a fun day! The weather was perfect and everyone was so excited to begin playing baseball. As a parent of a child on Taso's team, I must say that I feel very grateful to have such a great team of volunteer coaches leading the kids. It was heartwarming to watch the coaches patiently teach the beginner ball players how to hold the bat, to catch a ground ball, and run the bases! All that was missing was a rendition of "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" and the smell of hot dogs and popcorn! Oh, by the way, the concession stand was open during the game, but I didn't venture up there. At 9:00 a.m. the only thing I felt like having was hot coffee!
