Through the Lens: Hurricane Season

Last year, Hurricane Irene ran over Rhode Island pretty bad. Many people were affected, myself included, so this year my family decided to prepare better for the hurricane that hit us over the weekend. On Sunday, my dad and I went outside to clean up the yard, rake up the leaves, tie down light things, etc. Our dog Gus came outside with us — but he did not help us clean up at all. He just made more of a mess but he was having a great time running around in the leaves that I just had raked into a pile.

This picture isn't my usual picture I would upload — it's not of nature, but I still like it. It is a funny picture I took and edited today on my day out of school. I took this picture on my Canon Rebel XT and edited it with Adobe Photoshop Elements 9. This was a great moment to capture of my dog, it brought joy to my family, making them laugh, and I hope you all have a laugh as well.
