Through the Lens: Somerset, Massachusetts

A picture of the fall, and the leaves changing colors.

Now that the summer is has come to an end, it's the best season of the year, fall. School is back in session, time to reunite with friends, it's also football season — but best thing about fall is definitely the trees changing colors and nature changing. In the New England area, fall is always spectacular, and I cant wait to get more pictures like this one.

I went to go fishing for the last time this year the other day at Horseneck Beach, and on the way my dad and I picked up my uncle to come along to go fishing. In his yard he had multiple trees that were changing color. I happened to take a picture of one of them with the sun hitting the leaves just right and it gave off a nice color tone. I like this shot because of the color contrast — it really burst.

For the picture, I took a different aproach than usual, editing-wise. Instead of using my normal photo editing software (filterstorm), I decided to use Photoshop Elements 9. This was the one of the first pictures I edited on that software, and I am happy how it came out, and plan on using Photoshop more often. I took this picture with the Canon Rebel XT.

I'm looking forward to taking many more pictures this season also with a possibly upgraded camera soon. Can't wait to capture more great shots and share them with you all!
