Car Into Building: Customer Suffers Minor Cuts

JOHNSTON, RI — A driver told police she hit the accelerator instead of the brake Saturday and accidentally sent her vehicle into a glass window at Supercuts, 11 Commerce Way. According to Deputy Chief Daniel Parrillo, the crash happened around 4:39 p.m. The car jumped the curb and shattered the floor to ceiling window. A customer inside the store suffered minor injuries, described as cuts to both lower legs. Johnston Fire Department medics treated him at the scene. The driver was not injured, and the car was driven away.

"Town building official Ben Nascenzi was notified to assess the damage," he said.
