Cougars Set For D-III Title Match Against Mt. Hope
The co-op team representing Johnston and North Providence will play in the best-of-three finals, beginning tonight at 6 p.m. at Schneider Arena.
The Johnston-North Providence Cougars will begin their run toward a state championship tonight, as the co-op team faces off against the Mt. Hope Huskies in the final round of the Division III ice hockey playoffs.
JNP defeated Cranston High School East on March 12, 3-2 in overtime, to advance to the finals. Mt. Hope , winning 5-2 on March 15 to take the best-of-three series.
The championship will now be decided between the division's top two regular season teams; JNP ended the season in first place with a 14-1-1 division record, while the Huskies finished second, 13-2-1 in Division III.

Tonight's game is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Schneider Arena on the campus of Providence College.
