About a dozen workers were hospitalized after a chemical spill at the Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation in Johnston Wednesday morning.
Initial reports say the spill happened at a metal recycling plant on Shun Pike. “Multiple” ambulances were reportedly at the scene.
WPRO reported the spill happened when a bottle containing an “unknown” substance was pierced.
