HHFRI Community Meetings

The Hardest Hit Fund Rhode Island has announced it will hold a community meeting on Saturday, March 26 at 11 a.m. at SWAP, 500 Broad Street in Providence.

The Hardest Hit Fund Rhode Island (HHFRI) is a new two-year foreclosure-prevention program.  Homeowners, who are having difficulty making mortgage payments due to a documented financial hardship, are encouraged to attend one of HHFRI's upcoming meetings. This presentation will be made in English and a Spanish translator, with materials in Spanish, will be available.

The U.S. Treasury has made available to Rhode Islanders $80 million to help those at risk of losing their homes. Rhode Island Housing has been designated by the Treasury to oversee the funds. The agency will be processing, approving and administering the submissions from lenders, servicers and specially trained HHFRI certified counselors.
