Fatal Accident Monday: Police Say a Hit and Run Driver Killed a Woman Pedestrian

JOHNSTON, RI —A Johnston woman was struck and killed by a hit and run driver around 9 p.m. Monday on Killingly Street, according to Johnston Deputy Chief Daniel Parrillo. Deborah Saritelli, 63, was crossing the street with her son when a black sedan struck her in front of Cumberland Farms at 8:45 p.m., he said. "She has passed away. The suspect vehicle that fled is a black sedan with front end damage last seen heading towards Greenville Ave. Anyone with information regarding this hit and run is asked to contact Johnston Police (401) 231-4210.
