JHS Girls Face Scituate In Apple Fest Tourney Tonight

The Johnston High School varsity girls' soccer team is scheduled to host Scituate High School tonight at 6 p.m. as part of this weekend's .

Johnston's Lady Panthers (2-3-1 in Division III) enter the contest following the cancellation of the scheduled Sept. 23 match-up against Central Falls; Scituate's Lady Spartans (0-5-1 in D-I North) lost to Cumberland, 10-1, on Sept. 22.

It's the fourth year that a soccer contest has been scheduled during the Apple Festival weekend, with the winner earning a spot on the Apple Fest plaque to be presented on Sunday, Sept. 25.
