Johnston Man Charged With Carrying Gun While Dealing In Drugs: Cops
The Johnston man was also charged with intending to deliver crack cocaine, police said.
JOHNSTON, RI — A Johnston man was charged with carrying a gun while delivering or manufacturing a controlled substance, police said.
Luis Velez, 29, was also charged with possessing with the intent to deliver crack cocaine, large-capacity feeding devices and possession of a controlled substance, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.
Velez was arrested Tuesday by the state police Intelligence Unit and Auto Theft Unit, according to the release.

"Mr. Velez was transported to Third District Court, where he was arraigned," the release said.
