Johnston Man One Of 15 State Police DUI Arrests
John Delbonis Jr., 21 was charged with a DUI after police said he was driving 89 mph in a 55 mph zone on Route 37 in Warwick.

JOHNSTON, RI — A Johnston man was one of 15 arrested over Columbus Day weekend by state police on driving under the influence charges (DUI).
John Delbonis Jr., 21 was charged with a DUI after police said he was driving 89 mph in a 55 mph zone on Route 37 in Warwick. His blood alcohol level was said to be between .1 and .15. Delbonis was also cited for speeding.
"Anyone who chooses to drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs poses a tremendous risk to everyone on our roads," State Police Colonel Assumpico said in a statement addressing the 15 DUI arrests over the weekend. "We are fortunate that no deaths or serious injuries resulted from the alleged actions of these individuals."
