Johnston Police Raid Marijuana Grow Near Elementary School
Officers seized guns, cocaine and marijuana on Dante Avenue.
JOHNSTON, RI—Johnston Police raided 4 and 6 Dante Ave. around 5 p.m. Monday. The officers were acting on a tip "that a sizable and sophisticated illegal marijuana growing operation" was located near an elementary school. They arrested two suspects. Arron L. Leiter, 29, of Johnston, and Michael A. Salm, 37, whose last known address is in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
They also seized firearms, cocaine and marijuana.

Leiter and Salm are being charged with Possession and Distribution of a Controlled Substance near a School, Carrying a Dangerous Weapon during a Crime of Violence, and Conspiracy. Additional arrests and charges are pending.
