Johnston Police Release Victim's Name: Video and Photos of Hit-and-Run Car

Deborah Saritelli, 63, of Johnston, died Monday when she was struck by a hit-and-run driver around 8:45 p.m.

JOHNSTON, RI— Johnston police are searching for the hit-and-run driver who killed a Johnston woman Monday night. According to Deputy Chief Daniel Parrillo, the victim was Deborah Saritelli, 63, of Johnston.

"She had just left Cumberland Farms after making a purchase with her adult son and was heading back to her residence when she was fatally struck in the roadway," Parrillo said. The accident happened at 8:45 p.m. on Killingly Street.

Police need help finding the suspect, he said.

"We are looking for the public’s assistance to help identify the suspect vehicle that fled the scene northbound towards Greenville Avenue. We do have limited imagery and are in the process of enhancing the video that shows a dark colored 2-door sedan in the area of the collision," he said.

Any witnesses or anyone with information is asked to contact Johnston Police Officer Psilopoulos at 231-4210.
