Johnston Police Shut Down Marijuana Operation

JOHNSTON, RI — Police are looking for Shane Smith, 27, of Providence, in connection with a Tuesday night raided at 90 Allendale Ave. According to Deputy Chief Joseph P. Razza, the police raided the property around 8 p.m. after obtaining a search warrant. They allege they seized processed and packaged marijuana, as well as mature and immature marijuana plants. The total street value is more than $40,000.

Johnston Police had received confidential information from a reliable source that a large scale illegal marijuana growing and distribution operation was taking place on the premises. the deputy chief said.
