Martin Sr., Robert E.

Robert E. Martin Sr., 74, of Anglewood Ave., Johnston, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2012.  He was the beloved husband for 54 years of Barbara L. (Joyce) Martin.  Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Manule and Elsie (Lambert) Martin.

Mr. Martin was the owner of Martin & Son Auto Parts in Westerly for the past 34 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran; a member of the RI Auto Wreckers Association; Valley Country Club; and a past member of Triggs Golf Course.

Besides his wife, he was the devoted father of Robert E. Martin, Jr., and his wife, Patricia, of Coventry; Donna F. Wallace and her husband, Scott, of Wakefield; Marie J. Corvese and her husband, Kevin, of Glocester; and Kristie F. Martin of Johnston; loving grandfather of Natashia, Jake, Benjamin, Lindsey, Shannen, Lauren, Rebecca and Ryan; and dear brother of the late Barbara Mallette.

His funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. from the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in , 15 George Waterman Rd., Johnston at 10 a.m.  Interment will be at St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston.  VISITING HOURS are Tuesday from 4 to 8 pm.
