May 10: Hundred, Damp, Air, Blog, Chopper
A big celebration, the end in sight of this wet weather, and a look back at a great project make the list of 5 Things To Know Today.

Hundred: Over at the , there's a celebration planned for all the folks who reached their 100th birthday (or more) — and Gov. Lincoln Chafee is scheduled to make an appearance. The 35th annual Rhode Island Governor's Centenarians Brunch is set to kick off at 10 am.
Damp: Better have the mower blade and weed whacker lines up to date — at least another day of rain today and continued chance of showers through tomorrow [citation: JohnstonPatch WeatherBug forecast] means you won't be able to cut back the foliage just yet.
Air: In case you missed it, last night we reported on the state Senate passing Sen. Frank Lombardo's bill requiring Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation to set up four new air monitoring sites.
